What is Design Analysis?

 

Many products of simple and complex varieties, small and large, heavy and light, can lack efficiency of design that can adversely affect functionality and cost to manufacture.

Case in point, it was apparent through careful qualitative analysis that the wheel steering pillar, a large, heavy fabricated tube that supports a large wheel to an agricultural sprayer, reveal features that lack efficient use of material and welds.

A redesign, applying efficiency of design principles, can reduce metal cutting time, make bending more practical utilizing CNC breaking processes, and improve product strength.

Methods would continue with a quantitative comparative analysis to ensure that the new design is an improvement over the previous design.
