A custom extruded Aluminum front Bezel and sheet metal enclosure to house sensitive proprietary electronic hardware was developed at the request of our client.
Methods developed the Aluminum front Bezel and steel sheet metal enclosure to accommodate the electronics our client developed simultaneously. Consideration to fit and function had to be implemented throughout the design process while the electronics were being developed so, clear communications had to be established between the electronics design department and Methods.
Using their (Norscan Instruments') PCB development software, our client exchanged DXF files with us and, likewise, we exchanged our DXF files with them that we generated using our 3D Solid Modeling software so that we could confirm there was no interference of any electronic components with the enclosure.
Alignment of electronic components on the PCB with the associated holes in the extruded front Bezel was crucial, and again, the bi-directional exchange of DXF data between Methods and the client was imperative.
During and subsequent to the design process, we worked harmoniously with our client's choice of vendors to ensure a flawless transition to production.
